A fascinating land of contrasts with one foot in the past and another striding determinedly forward, Phaic Tan truly is a nation going in circles.

Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
For decades, undiscerning travelers have longed for climes not already spoiled by National Geographic photo features or Rough Guide–style group tours. Then, in 2004, the twisted wizards of JetLag introduced the world to the simple pleasures of life in Molvania, an Eastern European haven that had hitherto hosted more vermin than tourists. Now the JetLag junta return with a tour guide to the justly neglected South Asian kingdom of Phaic Tan, a nation where history and hotel clerks stand still. A sure cure for travel sickness.

    Blah.

They try too hard to make things funny in this book. I didn't pay much for my copy, so I can't complain.
