    OUTSTANDING!!

If your taking pharm for any reason from pharmacy school to medical school, this is THE book to get. Our medical school required Lange's Pharm 'as most do', but LWW's Pharm made pharm very straight forward. In fact about 30% of our class bought LWW's IR Pharm. The only real downside is that it will not have all of the drugs (obscure or lesser known) that will be mentioned during your pharm classes, but hey you can't have it all!?! If you are a visual learner as I am, you'll love this as well as the other LWW Illustrated Review books (Micro and Biochem) because of the great flow diagrams and summaries at the end of the chapter, illustration diagrams, and the references to the other LWW IR books for related material. They're even coming out with a new Immuno book soon. Honestly, I opened the required text only once or twice... LWW's IR was always open and I did well in the class. I plan to use it alot for USMLE and COMLEX.

    Softened the blow of Pharm

Look, there are a million different pharm books. I know, I have like four. However, this book is probably the most concise for reading and actually comprehending. Also, consider the date of publication. Many books (like Pharm Recall) are extremely outdated. This book has been my number one resource for pharm information. It was great for class and referencing while studying for boards. I do suggest purchasing an additional book that condenses the information if you're trying to study quickly (i.e. boards).

Full time Mom, part-time Graduate Student

This served as a great supplement to Lange's basic and clinical pharmacology. This book offered clear and understandable illustrations and explained each class thoroughly and concisely. It would serve well for those medical/physician assistant students who have a massive amount of pharmacology to learn/memorize in a short amount of time!!
