This short introduction to philosophy was excellent. The author did a great job of dealing with the big questions of philosophy in a brief and very understandable way. He primarily deals with the Western philosophical tradition, but he also uses an example from Buddhist philosophy. He also briefly discribes the two major types of Western Philosophy and discusses some of the important representatives of the types. He does all this in a humorous and down to earth way. I would certainly recommend this book for general readers.
