I highly recommend this book for anyone who likes video/computer games. It is intelligently written and has numerous pictures (black & white). There are a few errors in the book, but overall it reads very well.

Are you wondering about this first of kind book? I read part way through and got a lot of in-depth history out it, learning about videogames from the start up to some later year. Although I read Replay which is about the same thing, giving me so much more data about the coming and going of these machines, I still wanted to read Leonard Herman's take on the topic because its just plain intriging and for the fact that I began checking it out years ago but had yet to finish it. God has skilled this man to write and he persisted for ten years until his work was published. I believe, too in determination and persistance and they do describe the author of this book so I say so.
