Fish Bowl is immeasurably better than the "Gallery" app that comes pre-installed on the Nook Color. It loads quicker, it runs smoother, it lets you DO some things with your pictures (like sorting and cropping and such -- as opposed to just letting you LOOK at them), and best of all, it actually understands the concept of *FOLDERS*.
~ Seriously, whose stupid idea was it to have the Nook's "Gallery" app load every single picture (and video!) you have, as if they're all in one folder together? ~
Fish Bowl is worth every penny, and more. If you like having lots of pictures on your Nook, you NEED this app.

Pixie Reef has brought a very sophisticated photo and video App to the B&N App Store. Video and photos are rendered smoothly and quickly. Resolution can be set from the Menu Screen. My images and video clips look excellent. The feature I enjoy most is that photos can be displayed using the entire Nook Color screen which is great for showing to a group of people. Secondly, I really appreciate the thumbnail images for albums, individual images and video clips. I have not found any problems using this App. By "dis-selecting" Internal Memory all the wallpaper, stock images and book cover art no longer clutter the Photo Gallery opening screen making it so much easier to select what you want to see. You can even "dis-select" specific folders from appearing; this worked well for me because I have an NIV Study Bible stored on the SD Card and it has many maps, timelines and banner headers that are JPG files. All-in-All Pixie Reef customized the free Android phone App with functionality specifically for the Nook Color and it is worth far more than $2.99!

Replaces the dysfunctional photo gallery on the Nook Color. Easy to add folders then drag / drop from PC to manage. Zoom in / out and rotate are easy. Store photos on SD card. Wallpaper and stock images do not show up in the gallery.
This vastly improves the functionality of the Nook. Not looking for a full blown tablet but my wife wanted the ability to share pictures with friends. Now she has it.
Well worth the minimal cost.

Great for the money. Allows me to use my nook at trade shows to show samples of past work by selecting albums as opppsed to wading through all the irrelevent photos. I never understood why the nook allows you to make folders but not use them. Easy to use and intuitive in nature, A+

I love this app.
The media gallery that comes with the Nook Tablet is very underwhelming. It basically tosses all your media in one big bucket.
The Photo Gallery Fish bowl is so much better. All your content is sorted by the folders you put them in. I also like the collage affect you can create with your pictures.

Fish Bowl is a HUGE improvement in managing photos on a Nook. I just have one suggestion. I use photo file names to help identify the specific content of the photo. For example, in a restaurant review, the file name would describe the dish being shown. While you can drill down to get the photo's file name and description, it would be a big help to have the option to display file names or descriptions along with the photo itself.

Much better than the default Nook Gallery app, this app lets you browse your photos by folder. Easy to manage large collections of pictures andvset up albums. It has a unique and awesome interface to allow multi-picture viewing and zooming.

Initial loading went well but adding new images to an existing file folder has proven dang near impossible Deleted all folders to start all over is still proving difficult and extremely frustrating!

The main benefit is sorting your pictures and videos in folders for easy retrieval. The thumbnail display in the folder view is pleasing to the eye.
The app is not as intuitive as they describe. The features and benefits are not as impressive as they would have you believe. However the layout and design is a thing of beauty.
With some added functionality this app would really rock. At minimum, please add the ability to name files. Especially videos.

So much better than the standard "Gallery" feature. Its what the Nook software team should have writen themselves.
Setting up the files was kinda slow, but leaving the Nook to generate the thumbnails was automatic and was achieved overnight.
My 4500+ photos are grouped into 60+ files. The program handled these automatically.
A great product.

Beats the slideshow of the Nook. I am a photographer who will definitely use this program to show photos to friends and to clients. Like the ability to delete photos. Have not ttied any other options. Someties the photos are shown in reverse sequence.
