Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Author/photographer Koch, founder and CEO of Forma, the International Center of Photography in Milan, has compiled a significant collection of images from well-known masters and contemporary photographers from around the world in a portfolio binding. Arranged according to 12 themes—reportage, war, portraits, nudes, women, fashion, art, travel, cities, still life, sports, and nature—his work features 250 photographs by 210 photographers, including Ansel Adams, Bruce Davidson, Richard Avedon, and Herb Ritts. Each image is beautifully reproduced and paired with an intriguing commentary and brief biography of the photographer. The collection is distinctive owing to the number and variety of photographers and images featured, as well as for the insightful observations that tell the story behind the images. VERDICT The book itself resembles a box with a portfolio binding that suggests a box of photographs readers will want to open again and again. Essential for all photographers, professional and amateur alike, and all who love photography.—Lisa Block, Atlanta\

    Great Table Top Book

I was browsing the book store before Christmas looking for Children's books when as I was exiting the store I passed a table with this book. As soon as I opened it I could not put it down. I love taking pictures and I am always impressed with the ability some photographers have to not only catch a moment in time but also catch the emotions and feeling of those in the photograph. This book has to be one of my favorite books of photographs I have ever purchased. I only wish it was in a larger format. I not only bought a copy for my myself, but another as a gift. The price was unbelievably inexpensive for such a beautiful pictorial. It is a book you will pick up over and over again and find it to be a great conversation piece.

    Amazing Book

This book is one of my favorites. It has tons of pictures taken by great international photographers.

It is very complete. The images are big, it is organized by subjects. I just love it! You can learn about many different photographers and about they way of viewing reality throuht the lens.

I would deffinetly recommend this book to any photographer out there.
