What a fabulous book! As a photographer who has never had luck with animals, I found this book truly inspiring. From lighting to technique, I learned many things that I will be able to use when working with my own animals- and hoping that I can apply these skills to shooting the rest of the animals on our farm. This book is really comprehensive, offering advice on things such as running a business, building relationships with clients, and donating your skills to charitable causes. It is an easy read as the writer has a fun engaging writing style that makes it almost feel like you are interacting with her. I would recommend this book to anyone- from dog owners to people looking to use their photography skills to build a profitable business.

I loved this book! I am an amateur photographer and use photography daily for my business. I have never tried to photograph animals before because of my fear of not knowing how to capture them and their personalities properly. I now feel like I have so many new tips and tricks at my fingertips. I can’t wait to track down our cat and start practicing. I smiled so many times while reading this book because of how open and honest Lara is in her writing. When I closed the book I felt like this book was good for the professional photographer, amateur photographer and even animal lover that wants to capture the animal they cherish so much. I highly recommend this book.
