Photographing Your Craftwork: A Hands-on Guide for Craftspeople

Photographing Your Craftwork: A Hands-on Guide for Craftspeople

by Steve Meltzer

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal - Library Journal
Meltzer, a professional photographer, has compiled this book from a series of columns originally written for The Crafts Report. In it he gives the basics of photographing craft objects for those who are not professional photographers. He advises on equipment and film selection, processing, making prints and catalogs, and care of cameras and slides. He also provides valuable hints for dealing with special situations and difficult materials, such as glass. Basic craft photography doesn't require much special equipment, and the nonprofessional can get good results with a 35mm camera and accessories. This is a very thorough treatment and is highly recommended for crafts and photography collections. Constance Ashmore Fairchild, Univ. of Illinois Lib., Urbana-Champaign
