The worst censor is the one inside you, whispering: Don’t have that idea. You can’t make it real. Imagine the mad visuals you’d create if you knew you could pull them off in Photoshop. Sherry London’s Photoshop CS2 Gone Wild will give you the confidence to do the incredible.
OK, these are recipes, but what great full-color recipes they are. Homes transformed into gingerbread, children into senior citizens. Women with stunningly real zebra faces. Digital ghosts and superheroes. Trees re-imagined as loving couples. Effects from woodcut to Warhol. These aren’t the kind of recipes you follow brainlessly: they’re launching pads for inspirations nobody’s ever had, until you came along. (Bill Camarda, from the December 2005 Read Only)

Although I use the latest version of Photoshop, there are a tons of good ideas in this book that can be used. London is an excellent teacher and relates well to the student. For me, I had used Photoshop for a while so I understood it better than if I had been a very beginner. She takes you from step one to completion of each project very fluidly and you can tell she loves it. She makes learning fun and is a true guru.
