This is actually a reprint of a rare book from 1883. The author was later dubbed Sir Glazebrook by the Queen for his work in physics. He was a partner with Maxwell and later Rayleigh - both legendary figures in physics, and though Sir Glazebrook is not as well known by name, this book is arguably one of the finest works ever published in geometric optics. Many of the topics covered are barely mentioned in other books, but Glazebrook delves into the most complex problems with keen clarity and insight that makes it obvious why Maxwell and Rayleigh both selected him as a partner. A fine addition to any scientific library.
