From a Modern Composer/Student of Music

I am a Serious Classical Music enthusiast as well as a dedicated Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto lover and listener. Now, for either the serious music student, the novice performer, or even just for the curious listener, this book is absolutely perfect both musically speaking and from a quality standpoint. Dover has once again done a beautiful job of both accurately notating all of the score without flaw (many scores can contain numerous errors), and also of including many of the rarely performed and harder to find OSSIA passages from the original and authoritative editions of these works which Rachmaninoff himself performed. If you want to study the score of these works either for fun or for school, this is simply put the ONLY quality book to purchase. I have litterally spent Hundreds, maybe even THOUSANDS of dollars on various scores from Dove simply because they produce EXTREMELY HIGH quality products, which are accurate, suprisingly inexpensive (for anyone's budget), and durable. In addition to this, there is the matter of the meticulous attention paid to ACCURACY of the work AS THE COMPOSER INTENDED IT, which is often hard to find in modern scores, particularly when such intents (such as in the case of Anton Brukner) have been frequently molested throughout history by others who would seek to add their own interpretation(s) to the genius of the masters' pen. I HIGHLY recommend all Dover publications as i own MOST of them.
