This story is well crafted. The lilting rhymes and repetition of text are attractive for the listener. However this book will require child/adult interaction to obtain the maximum potential for the young listener as the theme of perseverance, and diligence may be lost to them. The illustrations more than make up for any lack of comprehension as they will entertain the younger listener. Liz Milkau successfully uses wonderful soft colour washes and mayhem to convey the energetic Priya and the joy she gets from her pianomania.—CM Magazine, September 2003
