    Worthy of Praise

I have been a fan of Edie Brickell since the earliest days with The New Bohemians. This is (so far at least) the only solo album she has produced. When I have a really good day or a really bad day, this is the first CD I want to listen to. The lyrics are great and so is the music. I hope she chooses to put out another album. I will keep waiting!

    Brilliant

Forget about the doubting Thomas's review of this album. He is just jealous. Edie Brickell's Picture Perfect Morning is a dazzling set of songs. She puts a contemporary flair on an old sound. The tunes are intelligent and musical, the lyrics hauntingly thoughtful. It doesn't hurt that Paul Simon helped produce the album, but Edie should take full credit for this delicious mix of moods.
