    Great Fun to Read Aloud

When my boys were little, this was one of my favorite books to read out loud to them. As much for me to read as for them to listen to. I now give this book to parents of young children so they can have as much as I did reading it out loud to their children. Absolutely one of my all time favorites!

    Piggy in the Puddle

My sister had this book and I read it to her children and I giggled with them while reading it. My sister bought me a copy of the book because I enjoyed it so much, but I had lost it during my many moves during my marriage. I tried looking for it several times, but the cost was always prohibitive, until now. This seller has excellent quality merchandise at very reasonable prices.

My daughter still loves it at 27!

My daughter absolutely loved this book at 2-3 years and still loves it at 27. She recently found out a relative's daughter had never heard of the book and she started to recite the first lines of the book. I was amazed that she could so easily recite from this book even after not having read it in many years. It is an engaging book that any child will love. If you are looking for a book that will be a favorite for years to come, this is it. Can't go wrong with purchasing and gifting this book.

    I Also Recommend:

    Piggy in the Puddle

My daughter loved this book so much from age 4 to around 8. It's such a great book to read aloud, especially if you like to do the voices. If she'd had her way I would have read it three or four times before bed each night. Get involved in your kids bedtime stories! They love it!

    Wonderful story

I am a seventeen-year-old avid reader of books such as THE LORD OF THE RINGS and THE MISTS OF AVALON. Despite my current tastes, THE PIGGY IN THE PUDDLE remains one of my favorite books of all time. I am sure my mother was almost tired of reading this to me, and of I reading it to her, a long time ago. It is an absolutely fabulous book, one which must be read aloud and, preferably, quickly. It is amusing, fun, and absolute delight to read aloud. 'See the piggy, See the puddle, See the muddy little puddle. See the piggy in the middle Of the muddy little puddle.' An absolutely wonderful read. I highly reccommend it to any family who enjoys reading aloud.

    Sue, grandmother and avid reader

I have never read this book to a child and had them disappointed. Children love the sing-song nature of the verse. On a number of occasions, the book has become a special gift along with a new towel, soap and toothbrush. All children relate to needing a bath and love the repetion of the word ' nope'.

    Should Be A Children's Classic!

I read this book to my young daughter over and over. Every time I read it was like the first time! She and I always laughed as I tried to get through the tongue twisters and the adventures of the pig. We lost the book in a housefire a few years ago so I am buying my now 12 year old daughter the book again for Christmas. I am sure she will be so happy to have it again! She still talks about the her favorite childhood story and will always love this book!

    buy this book!

This book was among my childrens favorites when they were small. The amusing verse and drawings captivated them each and every reading. Now my children are teenagers, and we rediscovered this book in a major sort/clean up; my fourteen year old daughter immediately sat down and read the book aloud to me (a distinct change - previously I was the reader), and we delighted in the book once again. It is now back on her bookshelf, amongst her teenage things. What better testimony could you have!

    A Fun Tongue-Twister

I had an absolute ball reading this to my children! We laughed and giggled and had a fun time getting the knots out of our tongues.
