A very informative book on the elite programs of college football. Although, I am very well informed on the game, I still learned a few new facts; such as the scandals in the PCC that hit Cal, Stanford, and USC in the 1950s. USC was seen as the premier program in college football and the author brings to light a lot of facts to support that stance, but his overall writing was still very biased to the Trojans. I do disagree with the author stating that Miami loss to Ohio State in the 2002 BCS game due to injuries. Miami did not have any injuries going into that game, Willis Mcgahee was injured in the 2nd or 3rd quarter, they loss because they struggled with OSU's defensive line. (Miami could have still pulled it out if they had not been hit with a bad call on the PI in the endzone). Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
