On the surface I'm Mo'Nique, the hottest stripper dancing at The Pink Palace, but on the inside I'm really just Janelle Taylor, a teenage runaway trying to survive in Atlanta.

You might wanna call me a hoe but I'm the one your man is spending his whole paycheck on! This isn't the life I envisioned for myself but it's the path I was forced to take in order to get by.

Nobody say the real me until I met Tommy, a sexy hustler from Chicago. At first he was just another trick, but for some reason I can't stay away from him. Am I really falling in love with a trick? The closer I get to Tommy, the more I feel like he's keeping something from me. Is having true love too much to ask for a girl like me?

    HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Monique, a young girl who runs away from her home after her stepfather begins to cross lines that should never be crossed by a father figure. She ends up working at the strip club with her cousin Nikki. Nikki, a bonafide hustler. She will get that money any way she can. Tommy aka Jason....the best thing to ever happen to Monique...but his past interfers with his future. For his first book, Marlon did his thing! I loved it. I could have sat here and given you the entire book. At the end I was like PLEASE hurry up and put part 2 on the shelves. This book is a great read. I usually read a book and place it on the shelf. This one....I can't stop reading. I can't wait to see what happens in part two. Oh and I loved the twist at the end. I'm so excited!! Great job Marlon!!

THE HOTTEST STRIP CLUB IN THE ATL!!!

The Pink Palace was refreshing, a fast read, and full of sexy scenes that will make even Zane blush!

The Pink Palace set in Atlanta gives you a look at the life of Janelle aka Mo'Nique, a stripper running from her past. Mo's cousin Nikki put her in the game and is hustling Damien a stone cold killer from New York taking over Atlanta. Mo ends up meeting Tommy, Damien's partner in crime who is not your average trick. Janelle and Tommy fall in love but he has a secret that could tear them apart forever. When Damien decides he wants Janelle things start to fall apart and everybody life is in danger.

I couldn't put this book down! The Pink Palace is one of the best books I've read this year. Marlon McCaulsky has really set the bar high on his debut novel. I can't wait for his next book!

The Pink Palace is a Winner!

The Pink Palace is a journey through a young stripper¿s life. Janelle Mo¿nique Taylor is trippin¿ off of her new life. Her cousin Nikki turned her onto it. The snakes in this business spit venom so lethal that bodies are turning up everywhere, but will Mo¿Nique walk away in one piece? The Pink Palace by Marlon Mccaulsky is a great read and I give it a Get Ya Shine On Star.

Pink Palace gives you a look at the life of Monique aka Janelle, a stripper at the Pink Palace. Monique was an inspiring dancer but after her mom died so did her dreams. After something devasting occurs in her life she becomes a runaway teenage fighting to survive in the streets of Atlanta with out even a high school diploma. Nikki, Monique's cousin takes her under her wing and teaches her the game/her way of life. She has been hurt on so many different occasions and developed the motto of men are only good for money and sex. In order for them to get the sex the gotta spend that money. While Monique is on the rise of coming up her heart is never really into the stripping. She meets Tommy a new trick but he comes and changes her whole view of things. She starts to fall for him to her cousins dismay but Tommy has his own secrets. I found Pink Palace to be an interesting read but the sad thing about it is I found the plot to be similar to movies and other books about I have read about stripping and undercover cops. It was hard to read at some points because it was predictable. I enjoyed some parts of the book because it was written well but just was original enough. There was some great twist and drama throughout the book. 3 star reviewed by Mskiki425 of Real Divas of Literature

Pop, Lock, and Drop it @ The Pink Palace.

Nikki and Mo are cousins just trying to make a living at the pink palace. The pink palace is the spot where the strippers look like models and the tricks are nothing but balers and shot callers. During her stint at the palace Mo ends up meeting Tommy who is not your average trick. Mo can¿t put her finger on it, but it¿s something about Tommy that makes her look at him totally different from the other men that come in and out of her life. Damien, he¿s the trick tied up in banging Nikki. Damien and Nikki have a lot in common and that is all about making a quick buck not caring if the money is dirty or clean as long as they are getting it. Good things come to those who wait even at The Pink Palace. Originally by the title and the cover of the book I thought it would be based solely around the club but it was way beyond that. There is drama, but isn¿t there always. There are some steamy scenes in the book, but not as steamy as the book cover portrays. I started enjoying it in the middle of the book because that is when certain operations begin to crumble and tumble to the ground. I enjoyed the book and I give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars

    Shake Your Money Maker

Janelle Taylor, a teenager who was left in the care of her step-father after her mother¿s death eventually runs away and turns to stripping. She is introduced to stripping by her cousin Nikki, who works at the Pink Palace. On the set at the Pink Palace you will find hustlers and ballers who will spend top dollar for their hearts desire. Janelle Taylor is known as the beautiful Mo'Nique , she is introduce to the sexy hustler Tommy Holloway who she immediately falls head over heels for, and the feelings are mutual for Tommy. Tommy has a different aura then the other hustlers that come through the Pink Palace and Mo'Nique is loving it. She knows that Tommy has secrets, but is she willing to find out what those secrets are. The Pink Palace is a must read that will keep you wanting more to the very end. There is a twist to the story. Very fast paced. Mr. McCaulsky you've really outdone yourself on your debut novel. Keep cranking them out. Tangerine, Readers Paradise Book Club

    Pink Blue's (token787)

Mo has enough on her plate. Being a young teen that had a mother pass away and a step-father that's an alcoholic and noone that can help look after her well-being. The last thing Mo'Nique needs is to start stripping at The Pink Palace and fall in love with a guy name Tommy that has many secrets and surrounded by trouble, but is Tommy the wrong guy or just another trick? Mo'Nique finds herself falling for Tommy eventhough, he has 2 lives on the forefront. Torn between love and just taking tricks money, Mo' must make her choice, and the choice she choose may be the last dance. Marlon McCaulsky had a good plot for writing The Pink Palace, but I feel it failed to deliver in keeping the reader interested in the storyline. I found the dialogue at times rather robotic and the main character take a back seat and was more a secondary role. The story didn't let the reader feel the action with the story, but felt just a script that was to be read. I do applaud Marlon McCaulsky for the editing and writing his first debut. I'm sure the next read by Marlon will be great, because he has the key to write, but just need to learn how to deliver for the reader. 3 stars for the first debut and I will keep reading Marlon McCaulsky's novels and watch him grow as an author.

    A Must Read

I read this book in one day. This book was an excellent read. Marlon did a wonderful job for his debut. i love reading about all the trails and tribulations Monique had to go through and how it made her a stronger person. I even enjoyed reading about Dre and his crazy self. I can't wait to read more from this excellent writer.
