Editorial Reviews

Pinkalicious, every youngster's favorite entrepreneur, breaks new ground as she opens up her first lemonade stand. To become a successful vendor, she faces one major hurdle: How do you make lemonade pink? A refreshing 8x8 spinner entertainment.

Children's Literature - Vicki Foote
Pinkalicious, a little girl in a pink dress, tells her story about how she wants to buy gumballs, but she needs to figure out how to get the money to buy them. Her mom suggests they have a lemonade stand. Pinkalicious tries to make the lemonade but it isn't pink, so she adds various pink things, such as beets and pink frosting.. Her brother tests the lemonade and likes it, but Mr. Peabody, her first customer, thinks it's missing something. Her mother finds out what Pinkalicious has put into it, and suggests they make it pink with strawberries instead. She sells all the lemonade. She buys gumballs with the money she has earned and shares them with her brother. Since her piggy bank is empty again, she's thinking about making pink cupcakes for a bake sale. This simple and pleasant story in the "Pinkalicious" series should amuse young children as they learn a bit about solving problems. Lots of pink and bright colors in the illustrations add to the fun.
