This is a spoof. A profane romance spoof not meant for anyone under 18. I was threatened lovingly and repeatedly by my readers to write the full version of Pirate Dave. He was born of the need to create a horrific career ending romance novel to destroy a really bad, nasty villainess . . . and Thank you Buddha in a tube top, it worked!

A fun, short read...this is a spoof and is intended for mature readers above 18 years of age.  This is the spoof novel used to end the villian's career in " How Hard Can It Be?".  Robyn completed Pirate Dave's story at the request of her fans.  Thank you Robyn!  It was a blast reading his warped world.

It is what it is...."Pirate Dave" is a raunchy, rollicking good time. Funny and raw and wonderfully off-kilter. Robyn Peterman has a delightfully warped sense of humor and does not hold back in this 'mock' romance novel. "Pirate Dave" does indeed have some pretty randy adventures. That is putting it mildly. Read this book and get ready to laugh. Out loud. A lot!

Hilarious! I’ve rarely laughed that much while reading a book! Robyn Peterman takes the idea of a romance novel spoof to new heights. Pirate Dave is a time traveling, vampire warlock who is looking for the horniest woman ever born, instead he finds conjoined twins. Overall, there is very little actual romance, so if you’re looking for an erotic novella, then this is not the book for you. In other words, sex is mentioned but not described. Other than that I found it funny that Pirate Dave is playing on-line scrabble with Poseidon. (really Zeus, because of the lightning bolts, but hey it is funnier if Dave thinks it’s the sea god.) Anyway, this is a real funny story not to be taken seriously. :)

OK so you have to be ready to laugh to read Pirate Dave. No I mean really, really laugh-out-loud laugh. And you have to have a clever, stand-up sense of humor to understand the complete outrageous funniness that is Pirate Dave! And I love Pirate Dave. You can't help but love this over sexed, not so clever, oddly stinky, but at the same time sexy hero. This short has it all, sex, mystery, funny side-kicks, and more. Just read it... and if you don't get it. Take a moment, remember ---- it's a spoof -- Read How Hard Can It Be -- so you will understand the birth of Pirate Dave, then read it again! Love it Ms. Peterman.... and I expect more from DAVE!!!

This is a funny, laugh out loud spoof. I recommend reading How Hard Can It Be? prior to Pirate Dave. Or you'll be mightily confused. ;)

This book will make absolutely no sense unless you have read book one - which was beyond amazing!  What can I say - Pirate Dave & His Randy Adventures was as horribly awful as I expected - it was beyond hilarious and can totally see why it was a career killing novel. Seeing the whole story in one piece makes me love How Hard Can It Be even more. Please keep in mind that this book has done exactly what it was supposed to. It wasn't supposed to be a work of serious literature (or possible be considered literature at all). It is a spoof at it's best and I laughed the whole way through.  You must all go and read book one (which is a really amazing romantic comedy) so can chuckle along with me when you read this one.

I'm not really sure what to say. The spoof is so disturbing you want to stop reading but cant! Just like this rating, i want to leave a one, but the book was puposefully written so badly....it has to get atleast a three.

Finally get to read the spoof book that was being written from How Hard Can It Be. This was pretty funny. You just have to keep in mind it's a spoof and where it came from.

It was meant to be silly and it certainly was that! Short and irreverent and fun.

I had read How Hard Can It Be? and have to tell you the story within the main story about Pirate Dave and his adventures had me snorting my Pepsi up my nose and scaring my cat off my lap I was laughing so hard. When I heard Robyn Peterman had succumbed to the whining and wheedling of her rabid (as in crazy, not infected) fans to write the full story of Pirate Dave and his conjoined twin lovers, Laverne and Shirley, I was so there. Robyn did not disappoint, but this time no beverages were drunk during the reading of this book and my cat sat safely on the back of the couch.

This book is absolutely horrifically funny but only if you have read the book it ascertained to first! How hard can it be, by Robyn Peterman. This is a spoof book that was purposely written to be crazy bad. Satire people, not a real book. But I digress. Robyn is absolutely brilliant, funny, charming, and with a dry humor that will give you stomach cramps from laughing so hard. Pirate Dave is the most ridiculous story you will ever read but if you have a great imagination and have read the first book then you will enjoy this story. Well not enjoy persay more like gawk and laugh at how wretchedly bad it is.

This was funny, but read like a mad-lib-gone-porn... If you are looking for a mindless timekiller, this is worth the laugh.

Robyn has done a wonderful job with this spoof. It is hysterically funny, I almost peed my pants with Captain Dave and his double meat sword. If you are looking for a great laugh and short story DO NOT pass this up.
