Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
This swaggering, stand-alone addition to the Pirates of the Caribbean series recounts the story of Jack Sparrow, a teenage stowaway on an adult mission. Jack has assembled a motley crew of adventurers to locate and seize the legendary Sword of Cort├ęs. This scenario sounds feasible until the treasure hunters run into heavy storms and bloodthirsty pirates.

    Surprisingly good

With the 'Jack Sparrow' series, I was immediately interested when I first saw it because of my love for (most) of Pirates of the Caribbean. Though the cover looked juvenile, I nonetheless was interested in the further adventures of this young anti-hero. What I found, to my surprise, was a fun adventure that ties in with the trilogy. A quick read, especially if you are at the age or have the reading capability of a 14-year-old or older, you will definitely want to read additional books of this series, even for those that are over the target age of 10-16.

    AMAZING

this series is totally action packed and easy to read. people of all ages will enjoy this series. because they are so short (at max 140 pgs) with lots of pictures, you can breeze through them and still have time to read the next one. the whitty humor and sarcastic language is portrayed just to make you laugh until you want to reread it and laugh again! i would rate this a ten if i could!

    Jack Sparrow series

I love these books! They are so funny and sarcastic. Jack acts the same in these as he did in the movies. I'm a teenage girl and i love them, pretty much bc i love Jack. But all the same, they are the kind of books i read when i need a laugh.

    I love this book!

Can you believe my Mom bought this book while we were on vacation? I was surprised to find out I couldn't put it down. I actually finished it while we were on vacation. I am going to order the rest of the series to complete my summer reading list.

a seventh grader who loves adventure and boats

a great series with great books and characters. when i first saw this book series i thought that it would be really dumb. but my friend read it and said that i would like it because its about adventure, friendship, ships, the ocean and myths. (but she got me reading as soon as she said ships) i enjoy reading these books and i think that anyone who likes adventure about the high seas should read them. (but be warned these books are short).

Ok I love pirates of the caribean, and i love this sieres because it is action packed and very close to what you would think of Captain Jack Sparrow as a teen.So remember you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest,it's the honest one's you want to look out for.

Adventure Lovers, This Book's For Us!

I like this book because it's full of wild adventures. And it even tells about a real Jack Sparrow! Did you know that the real Jack Sparrow actually had a crew with few people - 2 boys and 1 man, and 1 woman. Rob Kidd's writing made me feel excited about this book. It's a real swash bucking adventure story. I love this book so much I plan to read the other two books by Rob Kidd!
