When the airship The Merry Widow arrives in Professor Von Maxwell's city of gruff coal miners for fuel, the lonely men of Ironstation scramble to impress the all female crew.

But the crew isn't in the mood for romance. On the run from a vicious bordello Madam, the ladies of The Merry Widow are recovering from a run-in with a pack of wild natives. Not to mention that their ship houses the world's greatest scientific breakthrough since the invention of the airbag. . .a genuine clockwork man that goes by the name of Atom Loquacious.

The west just got a bit weirder in this tale of clockwork romance and sky-bound

Pistons and Pistols picks up right where  Clockworks and Corsets left off. We have the same crew with the addition of Mr Atom Loquacious, who just so happens to be a clockwork man, the creation of the Professor/scientist of whom our band of lovely ladies is now in search. However, what's an adventure without a little bit of danger? Yep, someone wants the precious cargo (Atom) that the Merry Widow carries and is willing to go to great expense to do so. With our crew low on funds and fuel, they must make a stop to try to convince the owner of a mine to part with some of his wares.  Yet again, a tale filled with action, suspense and quite a bit more erotic seduction than it's predecessor. I give Pistons and Pistols a definite must read! It's absolutely a step above the 1st book and I enjoy it quite a bit. I will warn, however, that it is left open to a 3rd installment and while it has not been written yet, I have it on good authority that the author has an excellent direction to take it once time allows. So...help her out and go buy these books and some of Tonia Brown's other works and let's see if we can get her moving on writing part 3.
