A cumulative rhyme describes the choppy cheese, sloppy sausages, gloppy tomatoes, and floppy dough that are cooked into a pizza and enjoyed by dozens of mice.

I read this book every year with my pizza unit to my preschool classroom. I have used pictures to represent each part of the pizza or a pocket chart along with story and the kids can read the story by themself after reading it as a group. Funny, silly rhyming words make the story a tongue twister the kids like listening to and watching me as I say it. I enjoy this book so much that when the library couldn't get it in for me when I needed it I purchased it so I would always have it. The kids enjoy the story, pictures and the ending. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I did a pizza unit for my pre-school classroom. I introduced 'Pizza Pat' after reading 'The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza' which is also a great book but it did not quiet capture their interest like 'Pizza Pat.' They liked 'Pizza Pat' so much that this was the book they wanted to read all the time during free choice time. They could 'Never Get Enough!'Was this review helpful?
