Plain As Sand reminds me of a good CD, where every song (in this case, poem) on the disk is a hit. I know I’m going to keep it to read again from time to time.
If you like Shel Silverstein (author of Where the Sidewalk Ends), Langston Hughes, or even Dr. Seuss, then you will enjoy this book. And where book club discussion is concerned, I’d love to chew the fat over: “I Dare You”, “Love’s Gradual Shifts”, “What Does Spanking Teach A Child”, “Put This On”, “The Chore”… actually, just about all of them.
    This was a fun read!
