This book has a good bibliography and lists its sources for each lineage in an adequate manner, but some mistakes have crept into it, many of which have been addressed in Mr. Richardson's follow-up book Magna Carta Ancestry. Some brazen assumptions are made in some of the lineages which require faith on the part of the reader. Faith of course should play no part in history-driven genealogy. A collection of errors and additions for this book - in no way endorsed by Mr. Richardson - has appeared at an easily accessed web site. This item is a great place to begin your medieval research but be sure to verify the information for yourself.

Absolutely the best book I have seen on royal ancestry. It is easy to follow the lines that you are researching, well documented and beautifully indexed.

A must for anyone with Plantagenet roots trying to research AND DOCUMENT their own genealogy. Well worth the price.
