95% of Step 2 consists of clinical vignettes, and this exciting new review series presents a wealth of "guaranteed to be on the exam" clinical vignettes for Step 2 preparation to give the reader a clear-cut advantage. It is unique among case-based series in giving greater focus to high-yield information. The cases and accompanying images faithfully replicate the format of the case encounters presented in Step 2, and key points and important Step 2 "buzzwords" are highlighted for each case. The approach is simple and focused without leaving out any important information. Plus, the format gives readers the opportunity to guess the answer to the case before it is revealed and to postulate on which tests to order, what therapy to give and what to "watch out for" in the condition presented.

Easy to read, short but packed full of info, small enough to fit in your lab coat pocket and has the high-yield cases you need to review before the exam. Helped me immensely, though I also used a general review book (Prescription for the Boards). I definitely recommend this book (and the rest of the series) for Step 2 prep. Was this review helpful? Excellent review of Medicine topics in a user-friendly case-based format. Explanations not only explain the case, but also give expanded info on the topic at hand and how to differentiate the case presented from other conditions that may mimic it. I found this series very helpful when studying for Step 2. 5 stars! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

After reading this series and taking my exam, I have been telling all my colleagues to use a case-based review series for Step 2. Have no basis to compare this series to the other series out there, but can say that I did very well on my exam because of this series. My test was 75% long vignettes, which often contained lots of worthless information and seemed to be testing my stamina and reading ability as much as my medical knowledge. This series is right on track in mimicking this format and is definitely high yield, as its author claims. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Great series and this book is no exception. 50 high-yield cases that are well-written. The author is good at explaining things that used to be mysterious to me. Good prep for step 2. Really liked the 'High-yield facts' section, which has some great stuff, some of which was on my exam. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
