    Ok but not great.

    I bought this book as a gift for my fiance for his birthday. He has been a Playboy subscriber and fan for the past 10 years. I was not all that impressed by it. The photos were ok but not at all what I thought they would be. Not really as many photos as I would have thought either. Some of the info was interesting but mainly, only good reading for a rainy day!!

    Can not judge a book by its cover

    I have always been a playboy magazine fan and have a great collection. The photography and art work in this book was great however the selection of content art and photos were not what i expected, some were not flatteringly to the model. I gave my book to a friend.

    Okay, but not great

    I bought this book for my b/f for this coming Valentine's day and took a look at it after I purchased it. The art is wonderful and not tasteless at all but the overall articles and book was somewhat dissapointing for the price of $50. I think I'll return it. :(

    Beauty is only paper deep.

    Beautiful women, great shots, lots of airbrushing. My wife bought this for me as an anniversary gift last week and was a bit confused because I didn't take much interest in her gift. Hef, I got news for you pal. I rather give my loving wife my time and attention not the plastic women you feature. Nothings sexier than a woman who's a real woman, big or small boobs, my wife's earned her stretch marks and I wouldn't want them airbrushed out of my memories. Perfect bodies may belong to those who live life in the fast lane of non-reality. But 50 years of trying means that there's too many men interested in women other than their wives.

    To: Life Imitating Art

    Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Walk outside, proceed to your nearest museum. Take in its artistry, encompass the beauty, feel your pulse quicken! Feel your body, give thanks for the pleasure of your senses. Give thanks for your gift of the body, respect and revere it. Try not to imitate the life of a Puritan. Blind condemnation will reaps its own accord. Marvelous book, illustrative of the migration of 20th century morality through various decades of tantalizing imagery. As much of a feast for the male libido as a portrait of a society coping with its own puritanical sexuality. Perhaps this struggle is reflected in such a high rate of teenage pregnancy. Americans never have seemed to coped with the need of their children to explore their own sexuality with responsible, and understanding assistance. Thoroughly recommend this volume!

    basically this...

    Its funny how many mindless humans defend this. Oh no its not pornography...Well honey it is... Maybe the problem with America isnt that they dont accept human sexuality/sensuality maybe the problem is that they so often are eager to hide behind a word like art and not call 'it' what it is...

    Boring

    Playboy has been boring to read ever since Hugh Hephner gave the publication to his daughter to run. The poses of these past years are just boring. Get a Victoria Secret Catalog for free if you want better. Goto your local mall and you'll see better fashion. This would be a poor buy for your money.

    When a person sees only one thing

    If you have blinders on, how can you appreciate a beautiful thing outside your sight? These pictures are exquisite in their color, composition and beauty of the female form. My husband and I BOTH thought they were sensual and I admire the beauty in women as people do in art. I let him do the same, becuase after all, beauty is something so rare, you should always indulge when it's there...

    A Overly Jealous Girlfriend

    My b/f and I live together and he a Playboy king. He has probably the largest collection ever, which I was not completely happy with. But I decided to this as a gift for him, since I knew it would be something of his interest. He loved it, and I sat down and look through it with him and I think it's beautiful and not distasteful at all. Great gift idea.
