Meet the Author

Richard Powell was born in Sydney, Australia and has led a very diverse life. Excelling in door-to-door selling in his younger days he progressed to selling insurance, became a bank manager (mercy please!), became one of Sydney's top residential real estate salesmen and later went on to exclusive boutique real estate sales including thoroughbred horse studs and a tourist island.
He is passionate about reading which led him to write about some of his life experiences. His first book 'The Extortionist' is a fun project taken on to prove a point and has been quickly followed by 'Playboy, Lover, Gambler'. Both books are pure fiction although some of the happenings are based on actual events. Richard writes for fun and his books, though mystery thrillers are always spiced with a liberal dose of romance and humor. Watch out for a third title "Accidental Assassin" out soon.
Richard lives in Sydney with his wife Christine. They love travel, sport, computer games, fine dining and red wine. They have three children and three grandchildren.
