Whoever says what happens in the dark WON'T come to the light need to read the debut novel of Jane Jordan PLAYIN' CHURCH. She hits this one out of the park with her realistic portrayal of what church life is like for many, filled with the sincere and the sinful, the honest and the hypocritical. The reader will laugh as well as cry as they read about loyal church members who find out they had the "holy goose" and not the "Holy Ghost", while others have their hopes dashed by a deacon with a crack

My Book Club (Ladies Of Literature) read this book and it was one of the best we have read this year so far. Once I picked up the book, I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Sister Jordan had us all looking at our own Church family wondering who fits into the characters and makes you take a look at yourself as well. A big "Amen" to you Sister Jordan for an excellent job done on your first book and I will be looking forward to what you have in stored for us next.
