Playing for Time has earned the position of my all time favorite book and movie. I have read this very moving tale twice and never finish with out my soul being marked or altered in some way. There are always words or phrases that introduce themselves to me, that find me and introduce depth and morality to my life in ways that are only divine. God is everywhere and can use anyone to show the world about the triumph of the human spirit, which He has imputed unto us all, even to those who don't believe. Anyone who reads this will agree that this is not just another Holocaust story. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

A beautifully written description of life as a 'priviliged' Jewess. Fania's uncanny memory and compassion for her fellow orchestra members is remarkable. She discusses how many can form prejudices and hate even in these detestable conditions. A remarkable story depicting a segment of Concentration camp life otherwise never observed. Passionate and detailed. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
