A police inspector born in southern Spain, has been working against Basque terrorism in northern Bilbao. He has adquired merit and reputation for skill and courage, but after fifteen years of such a service, he drinks too much and his wife becomes mentally sick, so he's destined to his native Andalusia, in a provincial city of medium size (I live near of such theorethically imaginary city). There begins the real plot: an anonymous psychopatic force and murder some little girls about 8- 10 years old. I think Muñoz Molina is a little overvalued. The plot is made with trade, but I think too many plainly. The abondant psychological and social observations about today's Spain are by nothing susprising at less for Spaniards. Howewer the novel is best at the end.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
