Overview

This boxed set contains three hilarious Stephanie Plum novels from Janet Evanovich: Seven Up, Hard Eight and To the Nines.

Seven Up

All New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has to do is bring in semi-retired bail jumper Eddie DeChooch. For an old man he's still got a knack for slipping out of sight--and raising hell. How else can Stephanie explain the bullet-riddled corpse in Eddie's garden? Who else would have a clue as to why two of Stephanie's friends suddenly vanished? For answers Stephanie has the devil to pay: her mentor, Ranger. The deal? He'll give Stephanie all the help she needs--if she gives him everything he wants . . .

Hard Eight

Fugitive Apprehension Agent Stephanie Plum has a big problem on her hands: Seven-year-old Annie Soder and her mother, Evelyn, have disappeared. Evelyn's estranged husband, Steven, a shady owner of a seedy bar, is not at all happy. Finding a kidnapped child is not an assignment for a bounty hunter. But Evelyn's grandmother lives next door to Stephanie's parents, so Stephanie follows the trail left by Annie and Evelyn-and finds a lot more than she bargained for.

To the Nines

Stephanie's cousin Vinnie (who's also her boss) has posted bail on Samuel Singh, an immigrant who becomes an illegal alien by violating his Visa and extending his stay in the United States. When the elusive Mr. Singh goes missing, Stephanie is on the case. But what she uncovers is far more sinister than anyone imagines and leads to a group of killers who give new meaning to the word "hunter." In a race against time that takes her from the Jersey Turnpike to the Vegas strip, Stephanie Plum is on the chase of her life.

Meet the Author

Janet Evanovich is the author of the Stephanie Plum books, including One for the Money and Sizzling Sixteen, and the Diesel & Tucker series, including Wicked Appetite. Janet studied painting at Douglass College, but that art form never quite fit, and she soon moved on to writing stories. She didn't have instant success: she collected a big box of rejection letters. As she puts it, "When the box was full I burned the whole damn thing, crammed myself into pantyhose and went to work for a temp agency." But after a few months of secretarial work, she managed to sell her first novel for $2,000. She immediately quit her job and started working full-time as a writer. After a dozen romance novels, she switched to mystery, and created Stephanie Plum. The rest is history. Janet's favorite exercise is shopping, and her drug of choice is Cheeze Doodles. She and her husband live in New Hampshire, in house with a view of the Connecticut River Valley.

Stephanie Plum works for her cousin who has a bail bond company. Stephanie's job is to take people back to the police station when they skip their court dates. She becomes involved with some of the weirdest, craziest, most bizarre people in her job and in her family and friends. She works and lives in New Jersey, in and out of the Burg. She's always getting beat up, getting her car blown up, losing the person she's supposed to bring in, having problems with her crazy grandma, her assistant Lula, her sometimes boyfriend, and Ranger (mysterious, dangerous, sometimes bailbondsman, and Stephanie's lust interest). All the querky characters and situations make for a fun series.

I am currently reading the fifteenth book in this series and cannot wait to read the rest. Some if not many reviews have started to become negative but if the author started listening to these folks there would be no more Stephanie Plum as she exists in all of the series. These books are extremely entertaining, easy to read, and most are tears down your face funny and are mysteries to boot. I hope Evanovich never changes the characters or the story lines because these are what makes the books so great.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. I am reading the series for the 3rd time. These books will make you laugh so hard that you cry, your heart will smile at the few tender moments, and you will shake your head in disbelief. Janet Evanovich has written these books so well that you see yourself right there in the middle of all the action. A must read series!!

I love the numbers series, not all of it is realistic, no woman can eat like that without weighing what Lula does, but the characters in the series make me laugh, and entertain me, and I know that if I became a bounty hunter it would go something like Plums life does. I am the poster child for accidents, so I can relate to her. I hope Janet Evanovich keeps writing this series, I love it, some of the books are better than others, but they are all good, and a very worth while read.

This was a great read not only for me and my husband, but the reason I have purchased the boxed sets is because they have been a gift to my mother who was asking what I had read recently that was interesting. I began my gift to her with the first three-book-boxed-set for Christmas. I then gifted her the next three-book-boxed-set for her birthday. Then the 'Plum Boxed Set 3 (Seven Up, Hard Eight, To the Nines- Stephanie Plum Series) I think it was around her birthday that she told me she was missing the March Madness basketball games because she "couldn't put the books down!" She is an avid basketball fan as well as an avid reader!! This author was suggested to me by a store clerk while I was waiting for the next Sue Grafton book. Great Suggestion!!

Oh my gosh... Evanovich IS Bounty Hunter, Stephanie Plum and takes the reader there too. I have read every one of the Plum series and the scenarios are hysterical. Grandma Mazur is an additional kick in the pants. Each character has their own personality. You don't have to buy all the books to enjoy the read, but the read entices you to buy all the books. I'm waiting for the next one!

I love these books...Stephanie Plum and Lula...absolute riot, wonderfully and happily silly, real NJ flavor (being a Jersey girl, I appreciate this!). All the nuances of hair, shoe shopping, eating pizza...what more can a girl ask for! I read these books kind of in a backwards way, but it doesn't matter. Thank you for making me laugh!
