As a scoutmaster of a boy scout troop, I use this book to teach knot tying. Besides showing how to tie the knots, there is a brief description on why the particular knot is good or bad.

If you want a book of knots and don't want to spend a lot of money, this is the book. From line care and handling, to about a hundred different knots and splices, this book has it all.
