A great exhibit of New York humor

PODZ is indeed a humorous fantasy adventure novel, which takes you back in time to the 60s when the new age was still in its infancy. This is when a young boy from New York discovers that the invasion of the body snatchers was not just a movie from the 50s, but an actual reflection of what was happening on a parallel dimension - right amongst his family and friends. This is his odyssey through pod infested astral planes, in which he not only has to transcend his puberty, but face the imminent threat of losing his own pelvis to the body snatchers while he has to save his soul-mate, his family - and the rest of mankind.

Keith Sherwood, who I've been familiar with through his books on relationships, spiritual work, and transcendence, shows a completely different side in his first novel. This is a great mix of New York humor, historic bites, and a sci-fi action fantasy story that doesn't fit any classic genre. The weirdest things are going on on other planes of existence, while life on Earth continues as if nothing has happened, even though the day-to-day weirdness is the result of an inter-dimensional conspiracy to steal the source of our pleasure and joy. This is definitely movie material!
