Meet the Author

The ever-quotable Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) was an Irish playwright, novelist, essayist, and poet who delighted Victorian England with his legendary wit. He found critical and popular success with his scintillating plays, chiefly The Importance of Being Earnest, while his only novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray, scandalized readers. Imprisoned for two years for homosexual behavior, Wilde moved to France after his release, where he died destitute.

The reveiws looked good. The cover looked nice. You open the book and begin a new life. You found a new home. You made some new friends. You kept on reading, hoping it would never end. You danced through the pages. You sang out the words. You felt all thier joy, thier pain, and thier hurt. The pages cut your fingers. The words cut your heart. Like the auther had a knife and was tearing you apart. You laughed with the charecters and with them you cried. You fell in love with them too, but whith them you died. When the book reached its end. And your heart never heals. You suddenly realize...ITS...NOT...REAL.
