Getting screwed over backstage by my married-ex tears my heart into a million tiny pieces.
[Sitting in the audience at the ballet with my former fling wasn’t my idea of fun.]
I live in my pointe shoes, not even my ex can taint my love for ballet.
[I hate the ballet. This on again/off again crap was getting old.]
And then my whole world

Getting screwed over backstage by my married-ex tears my heart into a million tiny pieces.
[Sitting in the audience at the ballet with my former fling wasn’t my idea of fun.]
I live in my pointe shoes, not even my ex can taint my love for ballet.
[I hate the ballet. This on again/off again crap was getting old.]
And then my whole world changes when I notice the smoldering gaze…
[Then I look to the stage, and I can’t take my eyes off…]

Leo Richards.
[Adeline Parker.]
Concentrating on anything except his sexy…everything, is impossible.
[Her presence commands my attention…I’ve never experienced this before.]
He makes me second-guess everything I’ve ever dreamed about.
[She makes me question everything I’ve ever known.]
Fighting him is a strategic sport—no clothes allowed.
[All I can think about are her sexy ballerina legs wrapped around me—tutu definitely on.]

Our scandalous rendezvous is plastered all over NYC’s tabloids.
[Because of my status in Manhattan, now I’ve dragged her into the limelight.]
My ex will stop at nothing to tear us apart.
[Seriously powerful people forbid me to be with her.]
Rumors about his past keep building.
[I can’t tell her this secret.]
When it came to Leo, I only knew the big things.
[When it came to Adeline, I knew nothing about the little things.]
But uncovering those things about him [her] may push us past our breaking point.

I actually won this book in a give away and wasnt familiar with the author. Im so glad I did because I realky liked it! Adeline is a ballet dancer whos struggling just to survive and live her dream. Leo, is a rich frat boy whos involved in a secret society. When they spot each other during one of her performances, theres fireworks. Their differences in classes and a nasty ex of Adeline's promises to keep them fighting for what they want....love. This is a steamy, sexy read!

These are 2 new authors that I have not read before and actually never heard of. I usually don't read books by new authors unless they come highly recommended by my favorite authors or by book friends who have the same reading style as me. With that being said, Amy Daws and Sarah J Pepper knocked it out of the park with this book. Adeline Parker was recently engaged to Blake Rossi. He broke off the engagement and never looked back. One night before a show, Blake was backstage and dragged her into a storage room. They ended up having angry hate sex that ended with him slipping a wedding band out of his pocket and putting it on his ring finger. During their episode of angry sex he ripped her tights and she was a mess. She went on stage like that and that's when she saw Blake sitting with his precious wife and her sparkling 5 karat ring. While Adeline danced she focused on one man in the audience who was with Blake, his wife Felicia, and his sister in law Sasha. His name was Leonardo and he couldn't take his eyes off her either. After Adeline and Ivan finished their amazing dance, Ms Higgens approached them and was not happy that Adeline was late and out of costume. Then continued to advise her that her enrollment with Joffrey School of Ballet may very well be terminated. Adeline didn't even change out of her costume and ran out a side exit barefoot with her toe shoes tossed over her shoulder. She ran next door to a bar called Shooters. Leonardo made up a lie to get out of going out to eat with Blake, Felicia and Sasha so he could follow Adeline AKA Fishnets. She was doing shot after shot of Jack Daniels. By the end of the night, Adeline tripped over Leo's led and hot the floor. He carried her out of the bar and of course he took her home on his Ducati. She threw up on him as he pulled up at her house. That's how Adeline and Leo met. Only they will see a lot more of each other throughout the book. This book is about how the upper class act when faced with lower class people. "The Gold" will stop at nothing to get Leo and Adeline away from each other for good. Leo and Adeline aren't the average couple and it will take a lot more then a few threats to keep them away from each other. Leo has some ideas up his sleeve that may help get "The Gold" off his back, out of his business and away from his sweet little Adeline. There's alot of action in this book and it definitely keeps you interested from beginning to end. Reviewed for Itsy Bitsy Book Bits

An intense, gritty, and touching romance... Note: This review contains NO spoilers Wow! This was a fast-paced, whirlwind of a romance with secrets! Two young people from two different worlds collide and fall in love. The intensity factor definitely made its presence known in each chapter. Told in both character's point of view, readers will get both character's perceptions of what was happening between and around them. We can't forget the intense and intimate sex! Yes, I said it! There definitely was ample amount of steamy and romantic sex between these two that would get anyone "hot and bothered"...haha! With the incredible character development, I found the characters to have distinct and complex personalities. The story itself is fast-paced and complicated as it touches on the complexities of real life issues. The different aspects of each characters personalities delved into the intricate sensitivities on how each character dealt with these issues. However, my only "thing" about this book is that the unrealistic development of the romance between Adeline and Leo...but then, again, it IS a romance! LOL! A sexy one at that! Also, well worth the read. Pointe of Breaking is an intense and gritty romance that will tug at readers' hearts. Filled with heartache and heartbreak with a lot of steamy sex, this story is definitely a whirlwind romance that didn't shy away from facing hard issues.

This story was all kinds of beautiful. Romantic, heartrending, and intense, this has to be one of my top five reads for 2015. The Skulls meets Center Stage in this emotional tale that sees two different but kindred spirits finding each other in a whirlwind of secrets and deceptions. I took an instant liking to Adeline. She was fierce but sweet. A purely genuine character who was a little lost but also held onto her dream with all her might. The chemistry that sparked between her and Leo was electrifying and it was exciting to watch as they battled their way through the obstacles that threatened to tear them apart. Leo was also a very sweet, genuine guy who was caught up in the life and legacy he was expected to follow. Adeline was his salvation, and I was so happy when he decided that she was worth to him than the demands that we placed on his shoulders. This book set flight to butterflies in my stomach, it made me smile, sigh, tear up and even want to smack a few despicable characters. It was an enthralling read from start to finish.

Angsty Favorite Quotes: “He was everything I didn’t know I wanted. That scared me.” “Next to her was a girl with breasts so perky they had to have been purchased.” “Wasn’t that what life was comprised of? A few precious moments to treasure?” “I envisioned meeting his mother vastly different. She looked ready to beat me with her purse and walk all over me with her Louis Vuitton shoes!” “Her eyes squinted hard through the opening on the helmet. Or they would have been squinting if they weren’t so full of Botox.” “I closed my eyes and savored the sound of the sweet whisper that slipped from his lips. It wasn’t a big thing; hearing your lover whisper your name as the sun peeked over the horizon. It was small things, like a whisper of adoration. That ever-seemingly unimportant whisper meant the world.” My Review: I almost passed this book over when I first glanced at it and saw it was yet another ballet book… sigh… then I noticed the name of one of my favorite authors - Amy Daws – yay! Yet I still had a moment of hesitation as my finger floated above the button. I remember my inner debate and waffling, but I totally adore Amy Daws – she is clever, talented, and wicked funny. I boldly clicked through and took the chance. Since starting the book I have run the gamut of emotions. I frowned, I panted, I giggled, and then I ground my teeth and began to curse Amy Daws. I uttered every obscene word I knew and made up a few addition ones! Waa… she broke my heart. Then she tortured me with pages and pages and mountains of angst from both main characters (not a big fan of that), then she partially put me back together, then she teased me, then finally – oh happy day – the sun has returned, the birds are singing, and she has made me smile and chair dance once more. I am exhausted, but I may forgive her as… I do love Amy Daws. But be warned - she is a gifted she devil!

Well it started out strong. I enjoyed the beginning, but then the herroin one minuite was strong then crying then happy and got on my ever loving nerves. Leo was just okay for me. Fell flat. Kinda cheesy. Wouldnt recommen it unless your into this lame kinda storytelling. Sorry.
