Meet the Author

Michele Sobel Spirn started writing when she was sixteen. She won a contest and got to go to Washington, D.C., and meet the President. She has always wanted to be a writer because she loves to read and always thought that being a writer was the best job anyone could have. She lives with her husband in Brooklyn, New York.

Kelley Cunningham has wanted to be an artist for as long as she can remember. After art school, she worked as an advertising art director, then went back to her first love, illustration. She has illustrated many books for children, as well as book covers and pieces for magazines. Kelley lives with her three sons, Sam, Noah, and Nathaniel, and their cat, Ivan, in Pennsylvania. In her spare time she is an art director in children's publishing.
