Barnes & Noble - Ganda Suthivarakom
With an engaging mix of new faces from the world of teen pop and a couple of established artists who are certainly young at heart, the soundtrack to Pokémon 2000 is one that adults and kids will be happy to listen to together. Disco diva Donna Summer sings the movie's soaring theme song, "The Power of One"; with its uplifting, you-can-do-it lyrics, the ballad feels right at home on grownup radio. "Weird Al" Yankovic contributes "Polkamon," a catalog of different Pokémon monsters set to polka music, while the B-52s turn in "The Chosen One," a campy, spacy epic that wouldn't be out of place on any of their own albums. There are two notable debuts on this album -- ...

There are two notable debuts on this album -- MTV's Making the Band stars O-Town give the public a taste of the finished product with the pretty ballad "One Heart" and the dance-tempo "Comin' to the Rescue," while 12-year-old Alysha unveils her Celine Dion-like skills on the candy pop tune "Dreams." And if your kids can't get enough of the movie, pop the disc into your CD-ROM and watch bonus film footage. Like its predecessor, 1999's Pokémon the Movie soundtrack, Pokémon 2000's sugary pop will sate your kids' Pokémon cravings while introducing them to some of the pop stars of the future.
All Music Guide - Steven McDonald
While it maintains a teeny-pop headcount, the album from the second Pokemon movie has a couple of daring steps: the presence of Donna Summer belting out the title song, "Weird Al" Yankovic with the gleefully silly "Polkamon," and a couple of score tracks (one of which is actually from the movie). Still, the album has more than its share of squeaky j-pop wannabes to annoy the heck out of adults and delight the preteen set.

Summer Warms Your Heart With A Moving Ballad!,

I love this album, but I was fortunate enough to hear this song and it has GOT to be one of the most beautifully performed ballads of Donna Summer's career. It also may be giving us a glimpse into Donna's upcoming full length release tentatively due this October. This is the first single off of the new Pokemon 2000-The Power Of One movie soundtrack. Donna's breath-taking vocals soar with every peak and valley melody. Her vocals exude a loving mother guiding her child in what to expect and how to react to life's challenges. The lyrics are a very positive message to today's youth and what better place to showcase this song than on the most popular video game and children's movie. Radio stations would be foolish not to add this song to their heavy rotation ASAP! Even Liz Smith of the NY Daily News said it had SMASH HIT written all over it!

    WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a wonderful soundtrack!!!! But I think ''Pokemon: The First Movie'' soundtrack was better than this one. But I still think this CD is excellent. I love the songs ''Blah, Blah, Blah'', ''The Extra Mile'', ''One'', and ''Comin' To The Rescue''.

    It's good

My little sister got this CD. The songs Flying Without Wings, The Extra Mile, and One are my favorites. They're really pretty. I recommend it. And I know I'm not exactly the person you'd expect to be writing a review on a CD.

    Pokemon Music Scores Big Again!

This CD rocks! I LOVED it, especially the two scores (intrumental only) at the end, most of all the last. It's really a jam-packed listening pleasure!

    My third Pokemon CD

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!! I'm a PokeFreak! I love Pokemon & this was perfect to add to my collection of Pokemon things. The music is great for anyboby. Even if you don't like Pokemon, you'll love the music. It makes you believe that you can make your dreams come true & it's right. Unlike most Soundtracks, this one relates to the movie. I saw the movie & loved it as well. So go out buy this CD!! You won't be disappointed.
