    Under-appreciated, Solid Shonen Manga

When you hear the term "Pokemon Manga", you usually think of either "The Electric Tale of Pikachu" from the 1990s or the long running "Pokemon Adventures", but with a franchise like Pokemon, there are of course more manga options floating around. But are any of the others good? Yes. In fact, here, have Pokemon D/P Adventure, which I feel may be the most under noticed manga to ever hit the Pokemon franchise. In fact, this is probably my favorite manga of them all when it comes to the cute little pocket critters.

If you've read other Pokemon mangas, all you'll need to catch my drift is opening the book up; the art quality impressed me right off the bat compared to other Pokemon series. And it doesn't stop there; the story of DPA is engaging, funny, and full of heart. Instead of solely catering to fans who have played the games, DPA feels like it belongs right next to normal, stand-alone manga on store shelves.

Pokemon fans will probably love this if they give it a shot, and even non-pokemon fans who just enjoy a good short run shonen-manga should give this a look.

    Great Art and Good Story

This is a great manga and I hope the first of many to come. It follows the humorous adventures of Hareta and his 'friend' Mitsumi. Don't let the names fool you though, this manga is cleverly translated and all the puns and jokes are well thought out. It has some very good artwork, although I found the cover to represent the inside poorly. (Don't judge a book by it's cover!) Story follows the beginning journey of Hareta from getting his first Pokemon all the way up to the forests of Floramora town. Can't wait for more!
