If you're taking a Introduction to Political Science class and are having difficulty keeping up with the class text and having difficulty grasping the fundamentals of the ideas taught in class this is a great complimentary to that. Most classes in POS101 teaches materials closely related to the book, some more, some not so in depth about it.
IF you study from this book aside to your class and book notes, you should do pretty well as the book is clearly and efficiently organized. The chapters are also further organized filled with great examples and the language is simple, precise, only gets to the point so that you can understand the basic concepts and move onto form your own opinions.
