I am a high school sophomore and I read this book for my research project. I found this book interesting because it explains important details about the city that had been erupted by Mount Vesuvius. From the moment I started reading it I knew I was going to like it. I found it exciting to read about because right from the start the author begins to talk about the excavations that had been done way before the eruption of the volcano and the research of the scholars. What's great about this book is that it's separated by sections. There's so many great facts and information about Pompeii in this book that you won't be able to find in any internet resources. It also contains many pictures, that are incredibly beautiful and shows you a lot about Pompeian culture .This was a great book for my research project, I really recommend it for anyone who wants to know more about Pompeii or is doing any sort of project about this region.
