Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
Bestselling computer author Peter Kent knows how to demystify technical jargon, which makes his writing both valuable and fun. Here he shares real-life examples of Web success and offers practical, straightforward advice on every aspect of how to make a web site work for your business.
Library Journal
Kent's approach to web-site design begins with a serious discussion about whether the reader even needs to set up a site. Covering all the basics in jargon-free English, he considers what you need to start, where to put your web site, finding a host, how to pick and register a domain name, creating a site, choosing an editor, adding interaction and taking orders online, distribution lists, and registering your web site. Very well written.

    Very helpful

I bought this book a couple years ago and just came back to pick up a copy for a friend that building his own site. Don't be fooled by the one poor review. This book is an incredibly helpful and well thought out reference. It walks the user through the entire process. If you're lazy or have wads of cash, go to a developer for your site. If your curious and enjoy controlling your project, buy the book. It's well worth the $25.
