Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
A tractor, van, digger, fire engine, and big rig lift out from the pages of this friendly primer. Crisp digital artwork shows farmers, movers, construction workers, and others hard at work, while rhymed couplets and casual asides provide information about each vehicle and its users ("If you hear the siren sound then stand aside,/ Heroes are coming in their speedy red ride!"). Moving wheels and other interactive elements add interest, and the blue semi in the final scene is a showstopper, bearing down on readers as it emerges grill-first from the spread. Simultaneously available: Pop-up Dinosaurs. Ages 3–5. (Oct.)

Meet the Author

Roger Priddy’s love for children's early learning has led him to create some of publishing’s most successful children's non-fiction books, including Priddy Books' million-copy bestsellers, My Big Animal Book and Happy Baby Words.

Roger says:

"It is always rewarding to see a child enjoying and learning something from one of our books, especially babies, when you think it could be the first book they have ever seen.

“I am very lucky to have a career where you get to think up fun ways to teach a kid how to write their letters and learn their first words, whilst finding out about Dinosaurs at the same time!"

Roger lives with his wife, Zena, in London and Cork, Ireland. They have four children, who have given him most of his best ideas for his books.

    Great Book

The book is quick and to the point for my son who is 21 months old to stay focus. He can also interact with the pictures in the book, that he loves to turn the wheels everytime.
