This isn't your ordinary pulp fiction. I became interested in POPBOT upon hearing Sam Kieth scripted it and now I love the work of Ashley Wood. This one is a setup of the future POPBOT books to come. You learn about all of the characters in the story; Kitty, Monica, Edith, Popbot, Sherlock Holmes, and other mysterious people. The book is in shades of brown and black which gives it a dark Lynch-like feel. It's dark. The illustrations and dialogue put you in a twisted - demented world full of drugs, violence, and sex. Yes, I said sex. It's not meant for children. This kitty has a bad mouth with a sex-drive to match. The book is very serious, but it has some dark comedy. The book is great.
