Disc 1 finds the Talking Heads searching and finding a sound. David Byrne was experimenting with vocal and musical styles and the other players were finding a groove. By Disc 2 they had become new wave and world beat superstars but the earlier excitement seemed to be ebbing away. Wisely, they broke up before becoming stale has-beens. I am glad I found this out of print anthology but I still think the live The Name of This Band Is Talking Heads and Stop Making Sense in their expanded versions are better overviews, even if they don't sample the last few years of the group.
