I was born in Port Townsend in 1933 but my grandparents came and built their home there in 1903. My mother and all my aunts and uncles were born and went to school in Port Townsend. I was really fun to see many of the things that had not changed since I was a child there. My father settled there somewhere around 1919. My aunt, who is still living, will receive a copy I purchased for her for Christmas this year. I'm sure she will really enjoy it. I live only an hour away and still visit the family (in the cemetary) a number of times a year. It is a beautiful and unique town and a very enjoyable place to visit. This book presents a history of the interesting city of Port Townsend, Washington, through photographs of the times, events, and people who shaped the various stages of history. It has pictures of my relatives and the "old family home" which was the largest interest to me. This is a book that my other relatives would enjoy. Since the book is essentially all pictures, I think someone with "roots" in this area would enjoy it most. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
