Olá. This workbook is very good for beginners of the Portuguese language- it's clear, concise, and anyone can use it. It also includes handy stickers and flashcards to better one's learning experience (although I really didn't use them). One interesting twist to it is how the wording subtly changes from English to Portuguese as you move along, proving to its user that they are indeed learning.
I wouldn't recommend this book for everyone though, only for those who seriously want to LEARN the language or just enough to get by; not for those who solely desire to learn survival phrases on their way to Portugal or Brazil, that's what phrasebooks are for. No. This book is for people who want to build a strong foundation to further [or begin] their understanding of the Portuguese language.
I got through this workbook in about a week, and it gave me enough of the basic fundamentals of Portuguese that less than a month later I was able to call Portuguese my third language. I only wish books like this existed for ALL of the world's languages. Tchau.
