    Incredibly helpful!

Speaking as a person who grew up with a father whose first and only line of discipline was putting his children over his knee for a hard spanking or a fast slap across the face, I feared once I had my daughter I could be like him. I felt the possibility within myself to be like him and that frightened me. This book showed me another way. This book has, at least for the first year of my daughter's life, spared us both from pain. Of course, time will only tell if this is a good way to raise children but there have been no spankings in my house and we get along great! Sure any baby will drive a parent crazy some times, but it doesn't have to stay that way.

    A reviewer

I really learned alot from this book. It helps you to take a step back and really look at the source of a child's individual problem and how to figure out what works best for that child and his/her personality. I would highly recommend this book for teachers and parents alike for that child you can't seem to motivate or that child who thinks she's/he's boss and all of those inbetween. It even helped me figure out my mother! haha
