"I strongly recommendPostcards from World War IIfor all those who have an interest in that conflict and that time period. Robynn and Matt Clairday have done an excellent job of compiling a collection of heartfelt, funny and moving postcards sent by servicemen and women between 1941 and 1945. A one of a kind experience

I grew up in the UK during World War II, and 'Postcards from World War II' provides an unexpected insight into conditions in America. It never occurred to me that people outside Europe had restrictions like price controls and food rationing. The text is more than a chronicle of events, it complements the numerous postcards to give the reader a special experience. Many are difficult to figure out, but are printed out at the back for easy reading. The reproductions are excellent and very clear. This is a superb book.
