It is believed that Poverty of Spirit translated from German : Armut im Geiste, by Johannes Baptist Metz was inspirational to the Beloved Henri Nouwen. For good reason. The writing and message is brief, clear, conscise and delivers! (remarkable for a German) Published by the Paulist Press; I would put a copy in every pew in every church in the nation!
