    Very disappointed in this book

I bought the soft cover from another book vender for 12$ only because it was a best seller and I'm glad thats all I spent and it's the last time. The book is packed with commmmmon sense ('do aerobic exercise for an hour 6 days a week, and cut back on fat to lose weight') and a lot of information on out of date nutritional supplements. Oh yeah and a few fancy mathematical formulae and some recipie's in the back. I was hoping for more nutritional info about food, for instance what makes you big what makes you lose weight. None of that from this booky. Especially from a phd no less. Next time I'm taking that 12 dollars and buying a big juicey syringe of Mexican steroids.

    Personal Trainer and Weight Lifter

Prior to becoming a certified personal trainer, I fell prey to the Adkins diet craze. I became carbophobic like everyone else in our society these days. I noticed a decline in my energy, a sluggishness and lethargy that I could not bare. Power Eating was a breakthrough for me. By following the dietary principles in this book I gained a tremendous ammount of energy, my workouts improved, and most importantly I started noticing gains in lean body mass. This book has been, by far, the most informative, easy to read book on nutrition. I have read dozens and dozens of book on fitness, nutrition, and bodybuilding and have not come accross a book with so much information on bodybuilding specific nutrition as this one. This book is not weighed down by complex formulas, scientific jargon, or macronutrient ratios, etc. It is a simple to understand, laymans terms perspective on how people interested in scuplting their bodies should eat. I recommend this book to all of my clients!

This book changed the way I'll eat forever.

This is an outstanding book. I had been lifting seriously for almost a year, mainly relying on protein as my main source of calories. When I wasn't seeing the results I wanted, I turned to Power Eating. I found out quickly the importance of carbohydrates in a bodybuilder's diet and changed my eating habits. After the first two weeks I noticed a significant change in the intensity of my workouts, my energy levels sky rocketed, there was a change in my physique, and I enjoy eating a lot more. This book is a good buy for anybody who is remotely interested in diet and exercise.

Best bodybuilding nutrition book out there

If you're looking for a book designed specifically for the nutritional needs of bodybuilding look no futher. There are other okay books out for general sports nutrition but this is the only one that solely focuses on nutrition for all aspects of bodybuilding: strength, mass, power, and definition. She covers all topics such as meal plans, supplements, types of foods, quantities, and timing of intakes. I have read over 15 books listed under the 'Athelete' and 'Bodybuilding' nutrion headlines and this was the only one I kept when I moved. I recomended the book below because when I put everything from the two books together I gained 30 pounds of lean mass in 9 months, naturally.

This is a great book for anyone, whether your looking to lose fat, bulk up for competition or whatever your motivation. This book tells you excatly how much nutrients (carbs, protiens, fats) your need, based on your weight, to live a happy life. I recommend this book to anyone looking to find the perfect diet.
