    Hard to read because it is so true

    I has taken me quite some time to finish, purely because it reminds me of how far I have to go. If you are like me, you don't want to look at your own faults, yet Stormie has helped us to see that we too need work and prayer. Your husband not only needs you to read this book, YOU need to read this book for YOU!

    If you want help praying more...

    I've only read a few chapters in this book, but I already feel that it is bringing me close to God. I've always struggled with praying and this book gives you specific prayers and other ways to pray.

    great for new beginning

    I was given this book about 3 years ago for a Christmas gift never pick it up to read until Feb. 2010 the book and prayers and reference to bible just made me want to read on and more I discover so much of my why? and what? questions the book help me to look within myself. I have given this book to several people to read the prayers the statements the reality willl make a person think and rethink and it really help me to become closer to my Faith in God along with the bible and my church

    Love this book

    Its a must-bedside-read

    I love going back to the pages over and over again as it teaches one to pray not to just mumble with words but to pray sincerely -- straight from the heart. Highly recommendable for women who wish to establish an intimate communication with God.

    Awesome book

    I read a lot of Christian Inspirational books. This book is one of my top favorites. Before reading this one I was reading The Power of a Praying Wife. Although I was praying for my husband. I wasn't praying for myself and I think so many women do this. They put others first. When I read this book I felt like this is exactly what I needed.

    Completely unsatisfying

    I was looking forward to a positive and uplifting book to revive my prayer life. Instead, I felt as though I were reading an expose book, gossip column style, as an autobiography. An unfortunate display of poor Christian writing, totally missing the point of the title.

    I do pray that most women cannot relate to the tales told, too depressing.

    I got into a book club through my church and we used this book. It's a good book and I felt that I could relate to what the author was saying. I liked how she put prayers and scriptures at the end of each chapter.

    The best book I could've picked

    If you're looking for an amazing book to help you with prayer and your walk in Christ, this is just what you're looking for. The prayers are awesome too. This is my first experience with this author and now I might buy all her books. Thank you Stormie and God Bless You for your work.

    Beautiful Book and Inspiring!!!

    I'm Blessed to have this book. It's beautiful and inspiring. Prayer is truly a key to success when walking with the Lord. I loved it so much I gave my Mom a copy, my bestfriend, my mother-in-law and I'm getting one for a co-worker who's birthday is coming soon. Truly a great gift for any woman you love. God Bless!

    Inspiring

    I read this book because my mom read it and loved it. I really liked it a lot. Sometimes there is just the right book at just the right time for God to really speak to your heart and this was the case with this book. It really impressed me with my need to be in prayer.

    Refreshing, Uplifting and Enlightening

    I had heard many wonderful things about Stormie Omartian's books, but did not think that they applied to me a single woman. That is, until this book was published. I have never read a book that has had a more profound effect on me than this one. I found this book to be very spiritually enlightening. It has caused me to examine myself honestly before the Lord and to let go of things that have held me captive. Please read this book, even if you think you have every thing under control. It will change your life!!!

    Tears of Joy

    I came across this book a few days ago. Something inside of me told me I had to get it. I've always been able to pray for others but when it came to myself, well that's a different story. After just a few days of reading and going along with the study guide I feel like a different person. The weight on my shoulders is no longer there. I don't feel bad for taking time out for me anymore and this book truly helped me with that. Thanks Stormie

    A Very Powerful Spiritual Tool

    This book was truly inspiring and remarkably powerful. I could feel the spiritual energy as I read each page intensely. This book is an excellent source in finding out ways to find oneself and develop or enhance a close spiritual relationship with God. Ms. Omartian is truly a gifted author and I look forward to reading more of her works. I recommend this book to all women and young ladies ages 15 and above. If Ms. Omartian writes "The Power of a Praying Man" I would love to review it as well.
